Hi All,
has anybody fitted a hand wheel (MPG) on to a DOS software Triac, I find the jog buttons a real pain, is it possible to do this?
Regards

Work offset question
During a test run I found that G81/82 etc have a possible bug in them, they totally ignore any value in the Z work offset. I had put +25mm in the Z work offset to make sure my tools were clear of the job and the canned cycles drilled to the original zero position, everything else was 25mm above. I r...

Hi Enny, please except my apology, I did not mean my reply to be aggressive. After many hours of messing checking and running g-code the fault has vanished. I have no idea what cured it. Has it gone for good, who knows. During the testing I did find that G81/82 etc have a bug in them, they totally i...

Hi Enny, How can it affect the "G00 Z25." in the middle of the program the program runs and the part is completed perfectly. The only problem is when the Z axis is commanded to lift to 25mm there is a delay of 20 seconds before it moves, once it has moved it then continues as normal. I think this is...

Delay during Z axis move on my Triac
My Triac PC is running on the Denford software V1.30 and works very well but today I have this odd delay and I don't know why. The delay is when the Z axis is commanded in program. This program below works just fine until the Z has to rapid to 25mm above the job after cutting the path, at this point...

Hi, thanks for the replying, I did download the user guide but the offset part is not like my setup. My Mirac is the all in one type and when I press on the offset button all I get is a list of X,Z,R,T's there is no global X and Z within the offset list. April 1995 software version 2.25 Please forwa...

Mirac on Dos software question
Hi All, When I have set all the tool offsets on my Mirac, how can I do a datum shift to adjust the length of the finished part. On my Triac I can adjust the Z axis datum offset and all the tools are adjusted, how is this done on the Mirac? I am using V2.25 software, is this the latest version for DO...

Possiblity of offsets loaded on startup
Hi All, I have a Triac VMC running the old DOS software, everything works fine but all my jigs work from a fixed datum on the machine and all the tools are common. Is it possible to have the offset file load automatically on machine start up? In one of the books it makes a reference to a teachers se...

Triac Z axis
When I got this machine it was OK, now it has run some parts and got oil back on the slides I have this problem. When I power down my machine, an original servo driven Triac it creeps down until the tool touches the table. Should it not have a brake or some other device to stop this. Thanks Graham.

When I try to use a canned cycle on my Servo Triac (FANUCMS V1.30) I rapid to the start point 25mm above the job but the canned cycle then tries to rapid down 73mm not the 2mm above the job. I don't understand why, any ideas, Here is the code. N3 (5MM DRILL) T3 M6 G43 H3 G00 X17. Y10. Z25. S1000 M3 ...

Triac year 2000 tool changer question
Hi, The tool changer on my Triac loads tool 6 when I ask for tool 1, how can I reset the tool positions so it loads the correct tool. Is the current tool stored in a file somewhere so I can change it or do I move all the tool markers on the changer to match the position. Or is it something else. Tha...
