Re: Triac with Baldor drives
Thanks for the reply, the fact 2 are playing up together is very odd but the bit that is baffling me is that the Z axis will work if I press the axis enable button. The LED on the computer rack is showing number 5 and the e-stop relay is not lit at all and the e-stop button is out. Here are some pic...

Re: Microrouter V5 Electrical Drawings
Thanks Steve,
I don't have a problem, I was trying to work out if I could connect a 4th axis via another external drive.

Re: Microrouter V5 Electrical Drawings
Thanks for the drawings, unfortunately these are not the ones for my machine, here is a photo of the control, as you can see from the pictures my set up has an external Parker XLT50-S stepper driver and an additional PSU.
Is there a chance you still have the drawings for this version.

Re: Triac will not start up
Hi,
no the machine is dead, the screen flashes blue for a split second when I turn the power off. The floppy is not used to boot the control it has a hard drive that is spinning up but that is all it is doing.
Thanks
Graham

Re: Triac will not start up
Hi thanks for the reply. Yes its the 'all in one' with the swing out monitor and tutor kbd, year 2000 when the backup battery has gone flat before the thing still powered up, it just lost all the bios settings, once they were reset all was well. I will have a look for this jumper in the morning. Tha...

00 is a global shift, it offsets G54 to G59 all by the amount entered.

Threading on a Mirac PC
Can anybody give me a guide as to the maximum spindle speed I should be able to single point thread a M8 x 1.0 thread in mild steel on my Mirac without loosing pitch. I get the feeling at 250 revs using 20 passes there is little/no torque in the spindle and its stalling for a split second and loosin...
