Hi,

As I understand it the battery is not needed.

1, What computer operating system are you using?
2, What version of Denford Operating software are you trying to use?
3, What RS232 lead are you using?

It sounds as if there is no Analogue voltage out of the Control card. If your machine is a standard Novamill the Control card will be mounted in the top left of the electrical box. The two wires to look at are connected in the bottom left corner of the card directly below the 9 way socket. (Twin wir...

It may be worth removing the USB lead from the computer then unistalling the ULS software. If you then re-boot the pc & install the software & then plug the USB lead back in & install the drivers.

"Not Ready" means you have a Emergency Stop error.
Is the E-Stop button out.
Try pressing & holding in the "Axis limit overide switch" (on the side).
You will need to hold the switch in while you drive the axis off its overtravel switch.

Are the drives powered up?

Try using the secret home button,

It may be worth checking the fuse on the control card.

a. Will this Mirac only be capable of running the old DOS based Lathecam program? Lathecam is quite an old turning package. I think the current package is Quickcam Turning. It will run from most Cad/Cam turning applications. b. Is it able to be controlled with the VR Turning application or will it ...

The standard Triac`s over the years were allways fitted with 2 x overtravel switches & one proximity sensor per axis.

The Z axis datum sensor can be seen by looking behind the spindle motor assembly from above. ( easier to stand behind the machine).

It may be worth looking at the toolpost clamp switch/input. If it is the RH80 toolpost you can get to the small micro switch by removing the circlip on the right hand side. This allows access to the clamp switch & the rotary switch. If it does not send the signal to the control then it wil not compl...

It does look like you are doing all the right things.

The software should be ok.

At times with the Dos software I have been unable to connect a couple of our customers PC`s to dos machines. I carry around with me a old pc to prove it with.

Sure it is worth trying a different pc
