I see inside the machine where the vacuum pump port comes out into the work area. inside the hole is a thread, what thread is that or what is designed to screw into that?

many thanks for the info. I'm trying to iron out a few issues, are there any schematics for this machine? when I press the green vacuum pump button on the front nothing happens, is this control by denford control board? or is that switch linked directly to the vacuum pump? I'm not sure the door swit...

is that a vacuum pump under the machine? what sort of vacuum table would work with that pump? do denford supply them?

I bet if you strip the wire leading to the original stepper there is actually 8 in theretoby1995 wrote:i haven't removed the original motor but it has 4 wires, i bought a replacement just like in the video and it has 8 wires.

I'm having an issue with my x axis on my triac also. it machines circular parts with steps as if the datum point shifts. no matter what speeds i use it always shifts I've bought a new stepper motor for it that was supposed to be the correct one. but it has 8 wires instead of 4. looks exactly the sa...

after some faffing I think ive got it right.
id tighten the tab nut so there was no play then gently tap the spindle with a hammer and play would appear. so I kept tightening until I tapped the spindle with a hammer and no play appeared. now the spindle feels smooth and silent
