Done that Did you know you can back up the 900 parameters? Press EOB and output start at the same time 8) "keep relay" settings... hmm not come across that one, nor heard of it before so I guess there ain't any :? The 900 parameters - I don't think there's many that are as it left your factory ...

Yup, here's what it says in the book.. CPU error (abnormal interupt). Replace master PCB I'd believe it if the error came up on every axis. After the error on screen it dumps a load of (what I guess is) hex - 32 bit as it's in groups of 4 but that might as well be japanese! I'll give the chips on th...

G31 on a Fanuc
Anybody got any clues on this? I'm writing a probing macro but when I make it go -X and the probe contacts I get 930 system error. +X +Y -Y are not a problem. If the probe doesn't contact while doing a G31 -X it's happy. Otherwise the machine works fine I wouldn't be to bothered if I hadn't just bro...

Triac Fanuc Query
I'm just going to rip out the memory card and plonk in some more memory (as you do) 128K - double a sinclar spectrum! It's a OM-C control Now I see on the card there's a couple of chips with your logo on so it's reasonable to asume that they're your making. my question is this, are these eprom...

Yup! Just what I did with the Easiturn :) Including a Campbell board. I used G201's - the cheapest. The nice thing is you can change the current with current set resistors. The worst part is deciphering the wiring diagram :? As an aside I found that I didn't get clocked the vat on campbell board but...

I'm guessing that they're the same as on an Easiturn, the old drives were rated at 4Amps, I believe. I ran the motors at 4Amps on Gecko drives and they often lost steps so I upped the current, I think it's somewhere between 5 & 6 Amps now and they are stable. MAE steppers 200 steps rev size NEMA34, ...

You have to manually write down the 900 series params as it doesn't output them :( - thats all your options etc. To restore the params from compter you wil have to manually enter a...

Yup, Mach3 uses the printer port, it can use 2 actually. My Triac being Fanuc I don't know how the VR milling links in, but if you want to send me a copy to experiment with.... I'm guessing it just pumps the G-code to the control via serial So my suggestion would work. You can make toolchange...

A special colour mixed by your supplier, hmm well thats what they tell you  I bet it's left overs ;) Anyway as you can see mines the older blue/sea green, but really it's the colour of white I need to find out - these Fanucs arn't very watertight! nor swarftight (is that a word?) Don't tell me...

Here's some of the exciting bits :D I've made for a CNC router/plasma table. Progres is slow due to other commitments. I'll tell you what they are. Top left is one side of an axis temporarily mounted on a lump of steel and below its component parts. It's only 60mm square so fairly compact - to keep ...

Who designed the Triac?
Is or was the Triac completely designed in the Uk or was a far eastern casting used as the basis? The reason I ask is cos the spindle will kiss the table and still have about 80mm (off the top of my head) of travel. So... I found some 60mm blocks and raised the column.. tell me how to upload piccys ...

Hmm. Have you ever had a tool locked in the spindle? I ask because perhaps the pull stud is not correct... Have you checked that the locking device is actually moving down when you activate the ram? It strikes me that if you had broken belville washers the tool would go in and not lock properly, wea...

Just thought I'd put my tuppence worth in Not knowing the history of the machine, I don't know if it's relevant but anyway, Is there a sheared off pull stud stuck up the hole? Are you really trying to fit a BT35 tool in the hole & not a BT30? or something else? and the drive cut out aligned? Don't t...
