I have a small monitor which came from my Triac. A green on black screen.

I don't know if this is the same as the easimill, but if it is any of use. It is either free for collection, or cost of courier.

Thanks, Roy

(I wont take to the post office as it too far/takes too much time). Last chance if anyone wants anything, otherwise 'IN...

Hi Dale, The drive board should work ok, providing you have it wired correctly. Mine works great on my triac with digiplan drives and the same breakout board as you. Just looking at your board (you may have it correct but i can't see it well enough). The ground pin on the transistor should be the ri...

Hi simon, I think i have sort of figured out the homing switches, But what is the value of the other 2 resistors on your diagram? You say you pinched the basis of this from your denford manual. Is it almost exaclty the same as in manual? Just wondering as I have looked at the similar circuit in my t...

Hi simon, sorry i must appologise, in reading your post i was a little confused by what you had done with the spindle, I first thought it was different to the 'jimpinder' post. But now i understand what you did. Well i got it wired up tonight, I just connected wires 4,5 together, since I am not like...

Converting a 1986 Triac to Mach 3

I am in the process of converting my 1986 Triac PNC3 to Mach 3. So far with thanks to some tips from 'sweep' and the drive interface diagram provided on here by David Murray I have managed to get all three axis moving via Mach 3. :D Now I decided to buy a C11 breakout board (cnc4pc) to protect the p...

Hi, I am looking to convert my Triac to mach 3 using the existing hardware as you have. Which breakout board are you using from CNC4PC? Is it C11 ?

Thanks Roy

Hi Colin,

Great simple idea!

Seems as though this will do the job.

My only concern, would be that you keep an eye on the spring. In my experiances of Gas springs, they tend to fail at the most inconvinient time!

Good idea though, let us know how it performs!

Hi Hpdrifter

An 'echo' of 'millboy's' post. I just wondered how the interface boards were coming along?

I was thinking of having a look at making a board myself, but at the moment lack of time prevents. So was hoping that yours may be nearly ready?

Thanks, Roy

The holder is of the 'easychange' type. However the collets are not the autolock type i mentioned. I do recognise them, but not sure what they are called. 'Titanic' does come to mind, but I am not sure.

If these are easychange then, yes they are available from rotagrip.

However i suspect the easy change holders you have came with the machine, and will accept clarkson autolock collets. (you can oftern find autolock collets on ebay)

A picture (if possible) will help us identify your holders.
