Re: Microrouter/mach3 convertion charge pump issue
Originally thinking, that the 24v power into the bottom board wasn't required as I wasn't using the original top board anymore was obviously the wrong thought, the bottom board still requires both sets of power inputs to run the steppers, so now all working, thankyou angel tech for some worthwhile a...

Currently converting my micro router to mach3, I have my BOB wired in, the e stop, x/y/z limits all work in mach3, the steppers lock up on switch on, but I can't get any power to the drivers through the BOB, the charge pump wont change state. I have the charge pump set up as output port/pin 1, there...

Re: denstep motion control board not working
Yeah, I suspected a component failure, is it posbible due to the condition of the battery, that may have leaked onto the board, and caused further damage?
Do you know where I could get the drive board tested? Obv don't wanna have any more surprises.

Re: denstep motion control board not working
Well, that was a short lived success. Now no LED. Have taken a closer photo of the connection's that do not look very good, (excuse the badly drawn arrow) but it now points to a burnt out blob on the surface of the board that was intact on the previous photo http://i876.photobucket.com/albums/ab326/...

Re: denstep motion control board not working
You should be Ok just removing the 2 wires from the control transformer (bottom left) wire numbers 27 & 28 I presume & moving them to the terminals 60 & 61 (24volts). Both wires should be long enough to be moved. I often rewire this on service visits. Success, thanks guys http://i876.photobucket.co...

R232 Cable Black box connections
Hi, Is the wiring connection on this 25pin connector on the inside of my microrouter black box correct? As I would like to make a direct connection with the Baldor board from PC, and I assumed there should be more wiring than this?

Re: denstep motion control board not working
I don't believe it does display a "-" when it is swtiched off but I will check. I've read the link and am a little confused about swapping over the logic supply voltage... Also I'm not entirely happy with overall condition of the Denstep board maybe due to its age, please see the below pic, http://i...

The one on the denford website must be a newer version.

Re: miicrotouter mint/com issue
Hi, yes the LED is lit, it always shows the number 8 which I believe states that all is correct and functioning ok. I have an R232 cable joining the pc to the black box, is it worth trying a new cable? maybe a loose connection within the pin connecting plugs is causing an issue, can any standard off...

micro router pc 3102 HD Replacement collets.
Hi, Does anyone know of a uk supplier for replacement 6mm or 1/4 collets for the Porter Cable 3102HD, as all I seem to find are from the US.
Or does anyone know of an alternative collet that would fit.
