Re: Novamill, first time in cnc (Mach conversion)

The spindle speed is controlled by an analogue voltage on connectors 2 & 3. It's 0 - 10volts depending on requested speed & should come from the control card.

Re: Lost zero parameters on Fanuc OT-B

I can only find the original Fanuc Data Sheet & the electrical record sheet for this one. You will need to input the 900 parameters then the standard parameters as in the link below, http://www.denfordata.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=2977 You will also need to set up the 450 diagnostics to suit the m...

Re: Novamill, first time in cnc (Mach conversion)

Is the Sprint 400 powered up. (The red power LED should be illuminated).

Is the run contact on 4 & 5 closed.

Have you got a analogue signal to contacts 2 & 3. (2 = 0voltsDC - 3 = 0 to +10 volts DC depending on requested speed.

Re: Signal noise / jitter on all axis.

Looking at the clip the NextMove control is not powering up.

It may be worth unplugging all the connections apart from the power on the bottom right & seeing if something is pulling the control out. If the seven segment LED then turns on plug them back in one by one to locate the fault.

Hi Chris

Not sure on this then.

May be worth checking oil leve & air pressure just to be 100%.

Re: M10, M11 chuck commands causing cycle stop

You could try setting Diagnostic 453 bit 0 to a 1. (diagnostic setup marker).

It will reset counters & timers.

Re: machining a large model

You can stop the program at any point & then use specify a start block using the icon on the bottom left.

The icon has a picture of a magnifying glass in it & the line you stopped at should be present.

Re: Switches

The switch in the second photograph is the Z- limit switch which can be adjusted to stop the tooling crashing in to the Chuck depending on what's fitted.
If you look on the opposite end of the bed you should see the datum proximity sensor.

Re: Switches

We used 2 different controls on the Miracs. GSM & Baldor. Both were fitted with sensors for homing the X & Z axis.

From looking at the drawings the GSM uses a three wire sensor & the Baldor a 2 wire sensor.

Re: TU150U in need of TLC

Hi Graham
You will need to use the TU150 software which you can download from the Denford website. You will also need to copy the Drivers2 & save in the same directory.
