This unfortunately did not help. We are still getting the same error and we tried re-installing the drivers, restarted and checked the cables etc. We are also getting the error E06D7363 after we start VR Milling and try to connect to machine.

Compact 1000 not connecting

Compact 1000
VR Milling v5.26

The machine has been working fine until today.
Tried to connect to the machine and the error message "Must Use A Set xxxlink Function" pops up.
There is a "-" in the orange LED Status Display.

Any ideas on what to try?

Thanks

I have realigned the motor and lead screw/coupling 3 times, per our last discussion, and after each alignment the axis homes fine and we can cut a car for about 10 minutes before the axis fails. Remember, the motor still has power to it all the time, it just starts growling and stops moving-but grow...

Using the False Home and jogging the Y axis a couple of inches away from its home position, the X axis would home using the "X axis" home button, but when the Y axis was in its home position, the X axis would not home. We traced the problem to a cracked wire in the X axis home switch wire lead. Appa...

Check the voltage on the power connector (TB11) pins 1 & 2, of the control card in the back of the machine. It should read about 24 volts AC. Pins 4 & 5 should read about 24 volts. Replace the fuse on the control card; it is right above the power connector. The fuse is a 6.3 amp fuse; you can get th...

We are having a problem with the mill at our school now. When we try to connect to it with VR Milling and click on the home all button, the numbers telling the mill position will continue to run and never stop. The mill itself never moves. Can you please advise us on how to fix this problem?

Compact 1000 Z axis stalling

Compact 1000 July 2007 VR Milling v5.19 The Z axis stalls randomly, this usually happens in the up travel. We thought it might be the brake. We removed the brake from the stepper motor and the problem still exists. We removed the Porter Cable spindle motor. Dissasembled, cleaned and lubed the lead s...

I could hear the X axis stalling when the feed rate was set over 3,000mm per minute. We sprayed the lead screws and rails with the silicone spray that came with the machine then slowly jogged the X axis to the far end of the travel, sprayed the lead screw and rails again and jogged the X axis back t...
