My colors and pin numbers are as follows 1-red 2-yellow 3- no wire 4- no wire 5- white 6- brown 7- black 8- no wire 9- green. I realize the encoder may be bad, but I am just trying to check it all out first a double...

Re: Cyclone spindle encoder
Would there happen to be a drawing for the pinouts for the belt driven encoder on this. The encoder is by the British encoder company where can we verify the index pulses from the belt-driven encoder? Thank you Mike

Re: Drawing for bed
I'm sorry I just did now notice this reply to my post, please forgive me for my tardiness. However I know I said bed but what I meant was the tail stock bed. And I did see that it's in the tail stock dimensional drawings. I hope I didn't keep you waiting unnecessarily. I am going to build the bed an...

Drawing for bed
Hello all, I seem to remember somewhere on here where there were drawings with dimensions for things like the bed for a cyclone . I was going to try and fab one up and I was looking for that drawing for the dimensions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike

Cyclone spindle encoder
Hello all Just looking for some info here on the spindle encoder. First off I had a guy repair the Mint 3.28 board which had corrosion due to the battery. Now I don't know if this has anything to with it but I have no RPM reading on the screen display. I believe its working as the spindle speeds up ...
Mint 3.28
Maybe a dumb question but my motion controller card have some corrosion and I was able to find on eBay 2 cards that are in much better shape for 50 bucks each and they are the same as far as they are D281 issue 5, the difference in the boards that I can see is the eprom chip which I can swap, but th...

Re: DM8 turret
Well I got it working , no chips in it, just adjusted the lock nuts on the index plate and took a very little bit of tension of the 2 springs. It seems to be working good now. You know when this machine is is working good its great, but when it acts up its a real bitch. I have been turning a lot of ...

DM8 turret
Hey all I am having issues with the DM8 turret in my Cyclone and have the following questions 1- is there a manual for setting the tolerances on the indexing plate ? 2- Is there supposed to be movement of the indexing plate when changing tooling ? Re: USB Floppy emulator on my TU150U
Thank you for the info. BTW I had seen in your other post that you have a lot of the keyboard overlay sheets. You by chance wouldn't want to sell me one or 2 would you? I have been cutting up old file folders and drawing the buttons on. Doesn't work to well when you get a spray of coolant on them. I...

Re: USB Floppy emulator on my TU150U
Hello
I was wondering how the emulator has been working for you now after a year or so of time passing? I may do the same thing to my Cyclone. Thanks mike

Re: please help me find software for TU150-E lathe
Yes it uses dos. I am in the learning mode at this time as I try to spend time with it between jobs here in the shop. I want to use the machine to make taper pins, but I keep screwing up the programming. Maybe a couple more beers and it will all make sense. Mike
