Re: X axis pulley removal?

Re: Easiturn oil?

I guess you are referring to the Central lube system? If so then a sticky way oil is best, like 'UltraGlide X5'. Expensive but will last you years...

lube metering unions

Overhauling the central lube system on the easiturn3, is there a method to check flow in the metering unions? I'm referring to the meter units on and near the manifold: FSB 3/0 and FSB 3/6 Have cleaned them in degreaser and blown compressed air through them, get marginal bubbles the other end at abo...

Easiturn Stepper motor timing wheel sizes?

Number of teeth on each wheel would be a great help!
Width of belt.

Pics of the reduction drive would be nice...

Thanks.

Re: Easiturn Mach3 Conversion Blog

Simon, (or anyone) Just starting on the home sensors pcb, can you remember the collector resistor values you used Re pic at the beginning of this thread? My Triac came with no boards so a bit in the dark! Attached is what I think should be the full circuit for one home sensor, can you please confirm...

Re: How hot- Stepper motors

Thanks guys,

That puts my mind at rest!

PSU cool, drive heat-sinks cool. Just the lack of information on the old original motors made me use a certain amount of caution while connecting up and testing...

How hot- Stepper motors

Hi, Just got back to retrofitting a Triac, simple question: Testing the system and the original steppers are getting hot, but how hot is normal? Can hold them but they haven't yet been running under load. Original stepper motors. 48v switch mode psu. Motion controls microstepper drives. Just need so...

I did before I posted, the only one I could find was the IMO Jaguar

Which bears certain likeness to the Brown one, however setting up is very likely to be different.

PS - can Mach control "proper" closed-loop servo machines ?
I had a quick play with Les Newell's Bridgeport which has closed loop servo control with mach3 running, and very nice and responsive it was too.

Not sure if that is out-of-the-box or if a plug-in was written.

ok thats a shame! For anyone who wants to know more about these pumps, a data sheet request was not forthcoming so taking it apart, the motor is a syncron type like used in central heating motorised valves. AC mains powered it just winds up and stalls safely against the pressure so can't really be a...
