Here is a picture of the external tool coolant nozzle.
The only issue I had was it firing coolant down the spindle bore so I have a plastic bung in the back end now.
The lathe is working great and I am happy with how its turned out.

Re: Baruffaldi turret spares
I tried Maydown, they are useless, I ended up contacting Baruffaldi direct.

Re: TU150U in need of TLC
Its just a flat spacer plate with 4 hole to mount it to the cross slide and the holes for the turret and a slot and 2 grub screws for the rear cover. See picture from before its clean up.

Re: TU150U in need of TLC
Not posted for a while so here are some pictures of the new tool holders and the through coolant modification I decided to add, all the parts have been made on my Triac and the TU150. I also modified the 3 original tool blocks that came with the machine. Here is a link to the machine making the smal...

Re: 4th axis for mill
If you are engraving on the centre line you can use a direct drive, but once you move from centre the cutting force is multiplied by the distance from centre so you need a proper worm and wheel type. The cutting loads with drilling and milling is far too great for any other type. There are some nice...

Fanuc 21iM read Sub Program from card (M198)
Hi, I have a Triac with a Fanuc 21iM control with the PCMCIA card reader and I can load and save programs from it no problem. The control only has a very small memory 8K so I was wanting to run programs from the SRAM card I have (48MB) like on the machines at work. On those machines I just put a sma...

Re: VRMilling 2.32 radius errors
I use Alphacam and have not had a problem with other machines, its the first time I have used Denford VR software so its a learning curve. I found a way round it by adjusting the post to output a G01 Xxxx Yyyy instead of a G02/3 line if the radius is smaller than 0.1mm There must be something in the...

VRMilling 2.32 radius errors
I have been pocketing some text into perspex and the code runs fine on my Mach3 mill but when I try it on the router I get radius errors see image.
Is there a setting for minimum radius in the VR software or do I need to output to 2 decimal places or less to make it work.
Thanks
Graham

Re: Feed override stuck at 5%
I have checked the wires and they all check out fine. If I pull the two plugs from the card and check the pots they both read the same from ether outer pin and the middle pin on the pot and also at the plug ends of the cable 0 to 5k. I do not think its the pots or the cable and the wires are in the ...

Re: Feed override stuck at 5%
Hi Martin,
I have tried the tests and the feed value is not changing, the spindle is from approx 0.8?? to 52.??? but the feed is fixed. I checked the wires into the card and they seem sound.
Thanks
Graham

Re: Feed override stuck at 5%
Hi Martin, no my card has the green LED and I have tried that and checked the pots and if I change them round in the inputs nothing changes apart from the other pot changes the spindle speed which tells me the pots are working but the input is not, new pots made no change. Swapping the lower card fo...

Feed override stuck at 5%
My router has VR2.32 software and works just fine apart from I have to use the on screen override for the feed because if I enable the one on the cabinet in the config the feed is fixed at 5%. I have tried a new pot and have swapped the feed and speed pots over and it is stuck at 5%. As a last resor...

Wanted - Triac with BT30 ATC - NOT Fanuc control
The title says it all really but here goes anyway.
I am looking to buy a Triac with a BT30 tool changer and any control except the Fanuc ones (way to expensive if things fail) any condition any age considered.
Thanks
I await all your offers.
Regards
Graham
